I activated a free trial version of Microsoft Office Standard edition today (13h October 2008) and it said that it would expire on 31st January 2009. Clearly that is more than 60 days, it is probably three months rounded up to the end of the month.

Don't be fooled James: Copernic 3 is actually worse than the version you reviewed. Don't upgrade it, stick to the one you have. The free version 2 has lots of features which you have to pay for in version 3.

I suggested another update may follow, and it did not. The observations above do seem to have been largely the effect of the Zolpidem, especially the refined reflexes. The state of relaxation or comfort that is achieved through my spending even more time with Ladan does not have as wide ranging an impact on restricting extensive, spasm -like reactions, when moved by other people.

Currently I am awaiting an answer from Ladan's consultant on whether or not Ladan may try another medication which, though unlikely to have an impact tends to have a quick and significant benefit when it does work, whereas Zolpidem tends to bring benefits over a longer period of use. If we cannot try the other medication, or if we do and it has no benefit, then then I shall be asking for Ladan to receive Zolpidem again.

The way I get around being scalded by the hot water bottle is to wrap it in a towel before letting it get near my body. I remember a friend of mine had sewn a towel into a cover for her hot water bottle, which worked surprisingly well. I hate the covers that some of them come with which is why I use a towel, otherwise you could buy a cover for it...

I agree with you in essence, I don’t think the word institution is particularly appropriate here, though it was me who chose to use it, as the Hands of the Cause of God were individuals appointed to fulfil a certain role within the Baha’i community. During their life-time the Hands of the Cause fulfilled a role that could have only been carried out by living appointees of Baha’u'llah, ‘Abdu’l-Baha and Shoghi Effendi. Certain elements of their role, however, will continue to be served by the Counsellors and the Auxiliary Board. Their memory, their spirit, and the example they set, will also stand as an example and inspiration for the Baha’i community.
I think the Guardianship is slightly different in as much as it it is continued, not only in a spiritual and exemplary sense but, also, through the large body of visionary and explanatory texts that Shoghi Effendi provided, to the Baha’i community, as an official Guardian’s perspective to be consulted and relied upon far into the future.
